Incumbent will be responsible for providing leadership and management of new product development and current production engineering maintenance for a family of products. The successful candidate will be directly responsible for managing exempt and non-exempt personnel with a span of control of approximately 200 associates. B.S. degree in Engineering or related field (MC, EE, IE or Mfg. Eng.) plus a minimum of 4+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, preferably in a fabricating, machining, and assembly environment, an advanced degree in business or operations management is desirable, previous P&L responsibility a plus, but not required. Demonstrated leadership ability and long-term strategic planning, demonstrated large-scale and multiple project management experience. Excellent written and verbal skills. Demonstrated experience in leading and implementing lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement process improvements. This position manages the processing Problem Reports, Change Request and Change Notices from their initiation to their final disposition and implementation. It also manages the front end of the enterprise-wide process for solving problems and initiating improvements. This role requires a combination of management and specialist skills.
